Mary Asmus Exhibit

An exhibit by textile artist, Mary Asmus, will be featured at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts.  The address is 2001 N. Ewing St. Seymour, IN 47274.The exhibit opens March 22, 2024 and will close April 19th.  Her work ranges from very small to very large quilts and includes both art quilts and traditional quilts with a twist.  The Art Center is open Wednesday through Friday from 2-7 PM.  There will be an opening reception Friday March 22 from 5-7 where you can meet the artist. There are a couple of BQG connections! Mary is Nancy Hoff’s sister and, Brenda Julovich’s daughter is the exhibit curator.

Lynne Hagmeier at the Columbus Star Quilters

Columbus Star Quilters presents Lynne Hagmeier of the Kansas Troubles Quilters on April 4, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Lynne will share the story of her fabric addiction turned business venture through a trunk show of her quilts. Located at The First Baptist Church 3300 Fairlawn Drive, Columbus, IN. There will be a workshop “Layered Patchwork Workshop” noon on April 4. Start with precuts for a quick quilt “Delainey’s Twirls and Swirls” made with charm packs.

INDY Modern Quilt SHOW

Indy Modern Quilt Guild is presenting a “Modern Quilt Show” at Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46203, from May 3 - May 24, 2024.   Hours are M - F, 1 - 5 pm, and Saturday, May 18,  1 - 5 pm.  There is an opening reception on May 3 from 6 - 8 pm, and an Artists’ Chat on May 18, at 2 pm. which are both open to the public.  There is free parking and free admission.  The quilt show will showcase quilts made by its members.  For more information, go to:  www.indymqg.com
