The purpose of the Bloomington Quilters Guild is to develop an appreciation for the history of quilting and quilters and to promote a continuation of the art in our community.  One of our main charity activities is creating and donating community quilts. Please come JOIN US!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Our meetings take place at: Beth Shalom Congregation, 3750 E. 3rd Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401. Tuesday’s speaker is Janice Frisch, who has recently published American Quilts in the Industrial Age, 1760-1870. Her presentation is entitled "Early American Quilts and the Development of the Block-Style Layout,"  during which she will be walking us through our history of colonial and early American quilting with high quality images of quilts dated between 1718 and 1850.

Our next Saturday Sew-In Day is May 18, 2019 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Come enjoy a day with fellow quilters. Register for our first Summer Retreat, to be held at McCormick’s State Park in Spencer, Indiana from June 27 - 30, 2019.
